About Gemma

Even as a child with Cancer, Gemma’s determination and positive attitude could be seen. She was always a happy go lucky child, interested in all things but particularly creative. Her love of nature, wildlife, woodland and the scenic outdoors were eagerly captured in later years with her beloved camera.
After 2 major operations, extensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Gemma successfully beat the cancer. She spent the next 20 years growing up into a typical teenager, learning to play the piano and flute, enjoying being a member of her local junior operatics and then going to university and achieving a Performing Arts degree.
Sadly, the cancer returned and she faced the same agonizing treatments yet again but undaunted she developed her creative skills, met new challenges and created an even wider network of friends and colleagues.
Her last few years were a series of highs and lows but she wanted to help others find their potential and be inspired to live life to the full whatever the difficulties. Her favourite phrase was ’Let’s go for it!’
